I Don't Give a Shit About Ron Paul

Warning: The views and opinions expressed by RJ45 may not necessarily reflect those of the rest of the team on WYLFWT.com.
Seriously, I don't. So to all of the campaigners who insist on going with your viral campaign on the internet and cramming his name down my throat, just put me down as a negative on this whole Ron Paul crap. I don't think he's the second coming of Christ. I don't think he can change the nation. I think he's just another charming politician who will stab us all in the back like the rest of them.
A few of my friends have been all "Ron Paul this!" and "Ron Paul that!" If you are my friend, I don't respect you any less and I still love you all the same. However, I am here to tell you, I still don't give a shit about Ron Paul.
Why? For starters... I don't like his pussy stance on same-sex marriages and abortion.
You know what also was left up to the states for a long while? Slavery? You know what also happened because of other similar major things regulated by the states? The American Civil War.
Yeah, that's pretty much what every Ron Paul follower has told me when I ask him what will he do. They don't even really know!
Ever since Ron Paul has been repeatedly losing the Republican primary, the internet has been flooded with all kinds of "He got screwed!" angry blog posts and YouTube videos blaming FOX News and the rest of the GOP party.
Did it occur to you that maybe he lost because the voters felt he wasn't the best candidate? Maybe they don't want someone that is for anarchy and entire campaign is based off of internet blogs and chain emails? Might be worth thinking about.
I am sorry. I am not for anarchy. I am going to be starting a life with my soon to be bride here in a couple of months. The last thing I need to worry about a president being quite possibly more crazy than Bush. The last thing I need to worry about is her getting shot via a gun that is no longer regulated under Ron Paul's "administration."
For those who want to make fun of me, poke holes in the inconsistencies found in the previous paragraphs, call me uninformed, point out the irony that I am writing a blog about how I am tired of Ron Paul blogs, say "Well, I don't give a shit about you either," or preach to me about how you fell in love with Ron Paul... go for it. Just pay attention to the title of this post.
Love,
RJ45

Brilliance
Brilliance. Sheer, utter, brilliance.
Thank you
Thank you kindly, sir.
Agreed
I give 0 shits about Ron Paul as well.
He is nobody and will never be anybody in the white house, not even a VP
I wouldn't even pollute TBE's metal by shoving it up Ron Paul's dog's ass.
but, those are my thoughts
Excellent thoughts
They may be your thoughts, but they are excellent thoughts. Besides, TBE has too much metal for just one hand, anyway. :-)
HALLELUJAH!
Yeah, I have a "Ron Paul" friend too. I laughed so hard when he lost the early primaries.
He even went as far as to say "He's our only hope." Yeah, if he's our only hope we are in some serious trouble... big fucking time trouble.
Well...
Well, I wouldn't go as far as to laugh in my friends' faces, they are just idealistic and I love them to death, that is of course unless your friend is an asshole, then feel free to laugh in their faces.
However, the "he's our only hope" lines that I hear frequently reminds me of Obi Wan.
I feel sorry for you, RJ45.
God forbid that people in this country should feel passionate about something, rather than the rollover, believe anything Fox & Bush tell us, let them wiretap us, let them send us to Guantanamo nation that we've become. Someone that can energize this many people has something special. I'm sorry you're too numb and cynical to hope for change.
It's not so much the
It's not so much the passion, it's the sheer annoying nature of Ron Paul supporters to spam and put him on a pedestal like he is the second coming of Christ. Much like a 5-year-old constantly tapping you on the shoulder and saying "look Daddy! I have political opinions!"
Agreed
What he said.
It's not like I give a shit
It's not like I give a shit about Adolf Hitler, Benito Mussolini, or Joseph Stalin either. I don't give a shit about the cardboard cutouts who disagree with my political views either.
Ohhh...
BUUUURRRRRRNNNN!!! ;-)
I for one supported Ron
I for one supported Ron Paul. It was refreshing to have someone that actually stands for SOMETHING and does not flip flop on issues. While I definitely do not agree on some of his stances, (pro-life, etc) I do agree with his views on the federal banking system being a total piece of shit, and that our country should adhere to the constitution - however archaic everyone makes it out to be. I for one believe in small government. I like that he actually has a PLAN for what he speaks about and doesn't just spout off with - meaningless statements like - "time for a change". What fucking change? Socialized everything? No thank you.
Cool, glad you have your
Cool, glad you have your opinions, and I respect them. It is good to see that people care enough about what I say to post comments, lol.
I know I am not qualified to respond to some of your other statements, but there is one point I would like to address from where I stand:
"...our country should adhere to the constitution - however archaic everyone makes it out to be..."
As for staying strictly by the constitution, if we did that since it was first drafted, YOU WOULDN'T EVEN HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO VOTE FOR SOMEBODY LIKE RON PAUL. Hell, if we did that since it was first drafted, we wouldn't have the bill of rights.
So, the constitution has evolved over the time, and generally for the better. But when it hasn't (ie. Prohibition), we can change it back.
While I think Ron Paul has some interesting ideas, he thinks in black or white in a shades of gray society, and that is why I don't support him.
BUT... I support everyone having the right to vote, think freely, and an opinion, which is what we are all about in the US and on WYLFWT.com. :-)
