The Ocean and the Wanderer

Calming waters churning

but they are really holding back

the internal yearning

The burning

The one true thing I know

is when to go

not to take a leak

or know just that right time to speak

 but when things seem bleak

cause I'm small, helpless, and weak

I see the door

and at my core

I feel the pulsing

I want something more

than this downer

What does another place have in store 

I'm not a drowner

I'm a lost cause

so take a pause

and feel the wind move the fire

it moves to a beat

but doesn't bend and cannot cheat

I am the lost one

the last one

a purpose gone from the sun

and as a shadow

I am the void of life

so this I know

feel the waters threaten my glow

the glow from wind and fire

the earth is trembling, but is no liar

the door is open now

I know my fate

to forget this life and recreate

time is gone, no need to wait

the path is said, the words are laid

I will not drown, I will fade
